Job Description
Accepting applicants with welding and climb. Will also accept applicants with certain backgrounds. Depending on experience as well. You also have to have a valid drivers license. POSITION SUMMARY: The millwright must deal with trade installation methods and equipment, understand construction methods, and have the ability to diagnose and repair problems in the field, whether equipment or installation related. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional duties as assigned. O Understand that THE CUSTOMER IS FIRST PRIORITY, and support that priority. O Work at agricultural and commercial sites; install trade materials and equipment in a professional manner. O Weld and fabricate materials on site and in the shop. O Build grain bins. O Construct bucket elevators. O Install auger equipment. O Work with concrete and set forms. O Excavate sites. O Operate machinery, including cranes, skid loaders, forklifts and trucks. O Diagnose situations and/or problems in as little time as possible. O Maintain vehicles and equipment in good working order. O Load and unload inventory onto trailers and in vehicles. O Communicate with field supervisor to insure that job is performed in the subscribed number of hours, or less. O Inform field supervisor when more time may be necessary, and why. Receive orders from field supervisor on what to do before proceeding. O Minimize field errors. O Complete installations and service calls so that callbacks are minimized. O Perform other duties/responsibilities that may be assigned by the field supervisor from time to time.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Outdoor construction sites at farms for new installation, retrofit, and service; around warehouse, shop, and yard with little to no protection from the elements. Job sites may be damp, hot, cold, drafty, dusty, and/or dirty. Travel will be in all types of weather including heavy rain and below freezing temperatures with possible snow conditions. The noise level in the outdoor work environment is usually moderate, but can be a high noise level. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Tools and equipment are provided by the Company and include welding torches, a variety of electric and cordless tools, ladders, forklifts, skid loaders, cranes, sky trak, excavation equipment, and concrete finishing equipment.
